"We Discussed Medresetüzzehra in Indonesia"

We participated in the "3rd Annual International Conference on Islamic Studies (AICONIS): Religion, Locality, and the Muslim World," organized for the third time this year by UIN Imam Bonjol Padang University in Indonesia, and engaged in several collaboration visits.
On the first day of the trip, we met with the students who will be attending the Arabic Risale-i Nur Training in July 2024 at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang University. We gave a talk on the essence of Risale-i Nur and also visited the university’s "Nursi Corner."

The following day, we had a meeting with the Dean and faculty members of the Education Faculty at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang University, where we reached an agreement on cooperation, particularly regarding the “Teacher Training” program.

Later, our representative in charge of the English section of the foundation delivered a presentation titled "Medresetüzzehra: An Education Project" at the conference. The presentation focused on the details of Bediüzzaman Said Nursi’s educational reform project, Medresetüzzehra. Special emphasis was placed on the concept of "mana-i harfi" (literal meaning), which forms the backbone of the project, and its applicability within the modern education system.

During the remainder of the trip, the Rumi Center in Malaysia was visited. First, an introduction to the foundation was given, followed by the promotion of the newly translated Risale-i Nur in Malay, with a Malay language lesson conducted. A cooperation agreement was made for Teacher Training in the center’s affiliated private schools.

Finally, a meeting was held with Ikram Foundation, one of the largest Islamic education NGOs in Malaysia. They decided to sign an MOU with our foundation regarding student exchanges, internship programs, and joint article writing.
