The Sixth and Seventh Editions of the Istanbul Workshop: 5D Thinking for Transformative Teaching Have Been Announced!

5D THINKING LEVEL 1 COURSES – AUGUST 2025 | ISTANBUL Following the successful completion of the fifth and sixth sessions last year, the "Istanbul Workshop: 5D Thinking for Transformative Teaching", organized in collaboration with the Institute of Integrated Knowledge (IIK), will continue in 2025 with its seventh and eighth editions. The first two sessions are scheduled for 28 July–1 August 2025 and 6–11 August 2025.

This program is not merely a teacher training course—it is an intellectual and pedagogical journey of transformation.

Why Participation Matters

Because education should not only foster cognitive skills but also promote spiritual and moral development.

Because teaching is not just about transferring knowledge—it is a responsibility that touches hearts.

Because the world is full of signs (āyāt) that await to be re-read through a Qur’anic lens.

Core Components of the Program

In-depth exploration of the five dimensions of the 5D Thinking Framework: Explore • Compare • Question • Connect • Appreciate

De-secularising science education and reintegrating divine meaning into learning

Qur’anic reflection practices and the role of the Divine Names in pedagogy

Collaborative workshops and practical content design

Each participant will develop a 5D-integrated science topic and receive constructive feedback

Participants will be encouraged to implement their designs in their own institutions and report on the outcomes in the following year’s program

Target Audience

This program is designed for educators, school leaders, and scholars who seek to reconstruct science education through a Tawḥīd-based epistemological framework. It is particularly suitable for those aiming to move beyond the constraints of secular curricula and establish a character- and meaning-centered educational approach. Participants are expected to develop a 5D-based instructional unit during the program and apply it in their teaching context. Outcomes will be shared in future annual meetings.

Limited seats available – the August session is our most anticipated event of the year.
