The seminar, titled "Reclaiming the Mosque: The Role of Women in the Worship House of Islam," was jointly organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture (İFKC), the Makasid Institute, and the Istanbul Muslims Council and took place on November 16, 2023, in the İİKV conference hall.
The seminar program began with a welcome speech by the President of the IIKV Executive Board, Said Yüce, to Prof. Jasser and the participants. Yüce expressed his thoughts on this important topic, thanked everyone, and then handed the floor over to Prof. Jasser.
In his speech, Prof. Jasser discussed the position of women in mosques and society based on the Quran and Sunnah. He also addressed the common misconceptions about the role of women in Islam and provided solutions on how to counter these misconceptions.
Members of the Istanbul Muslims Council, the Makasid Institute, IIKV, and foreign students studying in Turkey attended the seminar.

Representatives of the International Unit of the Istanbul Foundation for Knowledge and Culture (İİKV) attended the traditional annual gathering of the Qadiri community held in the African country of Gambia. As part of the program, the İİKV delegation came together with Sheikh Muhammad Gilani, one of the descendants of His Holiness Abdul Qadir Gilani and one of the most important spiritual leaders of the Qadiri path today.
