Brother Mehmed Fırıncı, one of the final living students of the great Muslim Scholar, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, today returned to the Most Merficul.
Our esteemed brother has spent 92 years in the service of the Qur’an and Faith. He won the hearts of millions with his humility, compassion and kindness. He has immensely contributed to the publication of the Risale-i Nur, an important interpretation of the Qur'an in our age. He also pioneered and sponsored the translation and publication of the Risale-i Nur in many world languages.
May the Almighty Allah grant him the blessing of meeting with our beloved Prophet (SAV) and Ustad Bediuzzaman Said Nursi in Jannah.
The funeral will be held in Eyüp Sultan Mosque on Sunday, October 4th 2020 after dhuhr prayer.
Brother Mehmed Fırıncı will be buried in the Eyüp Sultan mosque cemetery which also hosts and is named after the great sahaba Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (RA).
