IIKV Held an Online Conference with Ukraine Lutsk State University

Istanbul Science and Culture Foundation organized a joint online conference with Ukraine Lutsk State University today. At the conference, the effects of Islamic civilization and Western civilization on our social and economic life were discussed.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of İİKV Said Yüce pointed out that civilizations play a major role in ensuring peace between countries and stability in societies. Said Yüce introduced the Islamic civilization to the students of Lutsk University who attended the conference by giving examples from the events in today's world. The thoughts of Master Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, narrated by Yüce, on Islamic civilization and Civilization-i Haza attracted the attention of the students. Said Yüce, who stated that the basis of the attitudes against Islam in many parts of the world lies in the false transmission of Islam, continued as follows: “They do not hesitate to blame a nation, a state and even all Muslims for a mistake that occurs once in ten thousand or even once in a hundred thousand. However, if they learned the real meaning of Islamic civilization, a great deal of peace and stability would be achieved in the world.”

International Relations students at Lutsk State University, Ukraine, asked Said Yüce and Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, Head of Russian Department of İİKV, about diplomatic relations with Türkiye. Speakers and students attending the conference expressed their desire to meet face-to-face in Ukraine or Istanbul as soon as possible.
