Ustadh Mehmed Firinci, a student of Bediuzzaman Said Nursi passed away in Istanbul yesterday, October 3rd 2020. He was 92 years old. He served Bediuzzaman Said Nursi during the last ten years of his life between 1950-1960. Then he devoted his life to the dissemination of the Risale-i Nur Collection which is a masterpiece interpretation of the Holy Qur'an.
He will have a special burial place. Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a special decree today to have him buried in the garden of Sahibi Abu Ayyub al-Anasari RA (Eyyub Sultan) Mosque, next to Eyyub Sultan's grave. He will be missed dearly. We have fond memories of him and his intense love of Islam and the rejuvenation of the faith. He was a gentle man with firm faith and no one met him except was affected by the purity of his heart and jovial nature.

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ وَعَافِهِ وَاعْفُ عَنْهُ وَأَكْرِمْ نُزُلَهُ وَوَسِّعْ مُدْخَلَهُ وَاغْسِلْهُ بِالْمَاءِ وَالثَّلْجِ وَالْبَرَدِ وَنَقِّهِ مِنْ الْخَطَايَا كَمَا نَقَّيْتَ الثَّوْبَ الْأَبْيَضَ مِنْ الدَّنَسِ وَأَبْدِلْهُ دَارًا خَيْرًا مِنْ دَارِهِ وَأَهْلًا خَيْرًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَزَوْجًا خَيْرًا مِنْ زَوْجِهِ وَأَدْخِلْهُ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَعِذْهُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiuoon... we pray Allah enters him in to.highest Jannah - Allah grant all forbearance and know sayyidah inshAllah he is in better place and with in the celestial realm inshAllah with the Anbiyyah - Sidiqeen - Shudaah and Salaiheen and sufficient is even one of them as companions.
May Allah Taala have mercy on his soul and grant him paradise.
His janazah prayer was held after zuhr prayer at Eyyub Sultan Mosque in Istanbul, today, Sunday, October 4th, 2020.
